Teotitian
del Calle: Oaxaca's Zapotec rugs are world famous. Nestled in
the Sierra Madre foothills about 13 miles northeast of Oaxaca,
the village is home to about 5,000 weavers. These rugs are woven
with natural vegetable dyes in geometric designs influenced by
pre-Columbian architectural decoration.
